We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our Transportation Solutions department at our Barrier Systems plant as Senior R Engineer. This individual will be a key contributor in new product development (NPD), research and development (R) for various road safety products in accordance to schedule and project plan. Accountabilities include:
Innovative and capable of developing R concepts into alternatives with action plans
Able to identify product and process faults and drive to get them corrected
Utilize fact based analysis for critical analysis, decision making and continued improvement
Lead product development team with a strong sense of urgency and accountability toward achieving timely completion of committed timelines
Work closely with all parts of the organization to ensure smooth execution of projects and that the designs meet customer needs and are manufactural at the intended rate and quality level

Required Qualifications:
BSME, BS Aeronautical Engineering
Minimum 10 year's product design and development experience in a stage gate process
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Demonstrated experience with project management
Technical expertise in Kinetics and Dynamics
Demonstrated experience with design of mechanical systems
Familiarity with solid modeling tools (SolidWorks) and Finite Element Analysis
Demonstrated experience with commercial fabrication
Demonstrated experience with data acquisition and analysis
