Job Description
We are seeking a talented administrator to direct the rehabilitation services at a large, progressive acute care hospital located in the Manteca area.
The Director is administratively responsible for the overall operation of the three (3) respective departments within Rehabilitation Services. The Director of Rehabilitation Services reports to the Hospital Assistant Administrator – Clinical Services and is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of an efficient, effective and accurate level of operation of clerical, administrative, and fiscal functions of the department, whose client base includes patients of all ages. These duties include: strategic planning, development, implementing, budgeting, productivity, scheduling, monitoring activities and supervision of staff. The incumbent directly supervises the overall operation of the Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Pathology (SP) Departments guiding the job performance of the department staff on a day-to-day basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational level necessary to obtain a California license or national certification as a Physical or Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
Active license from State of California in Physical or Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
Paneled as California Children Services (CCS) specialist within six (6) months of hire.
Minimum of four (4) years of Acute Care experience in Physical Therapy OR Occupational Therapy OR Speech Pathology.
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in a management, supervisor, or lead role.
Certified Clinical Instructor within twelve (12) months of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider card.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Masters or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
2. Educational background or coursework in health care management and supervision.
3. Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or equivalent association for Speech Pathologists.
4. Management/Employee Training (Labor Relations).
5.Financial/Budget experience.
