Sacramento News & Review is seeking a Nuts & Bolts Ninja (of Quotes and Projects)
The SN&R seeks a self-directed, detail oriented, bright, flexible, proactive and customer service-oriented Nuts & Bolts Ninja. You will be responsible for coordinating many detail-oriented tasks and projects. You will manage the media quoting process, creating estimates, proposals, print orders and approving invoices -- working directly with sales staff, our media buyer and clients. You will assist the COO (Director of Nuts & Bolts) with a wide range of projects, ranging from administrative to process improvement projects. Your role in the organization is very important, and a sense of humor is required for all positions at our company.
Published weekly since xxxx, the award winning Sacramento News & Review is a family owned business, providing the greater Sacramento area with a lively mixture of news, features, commentary, arts and a calendar of events. Based in Sacramento, you will be part of the team supporting our three papers in Sac, Chico and Reno, as well as our Sacramento-based Custom Publications division.

Required Experience:
· Strong degree of attention to detail required.
· Publishing and/or media experience or knowledge highly desirable.
· Experience with bidding, quoting or pricing projects critical.
· Expert experience in Excel required. Must know your way around complicated spreadsheets/formulas with one eye closed.
· Highly computer literate.
· Track record of working with multiple departments and personalities to achieve results.
· Strong math and writing skills preferred.
· Comfortable with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
· High school education or equivalent required, with at least 3 years of related experience or 4-year degree in related subject with 1 year of experience.

· Calm under pressure.
· Excellent verbal and written communicator of project details, processes and schedules.
· Effective at problem-solving and developing solutions and media strategies.
· Work well independently as well as part of a team.
· Excellent technical skills, proficient in Word and Excel, able to learn other software as required.
· Organized and deadline driven.
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities with changing deadlines.
This is a full-time hourly position offering a competitive salary ($15/hour) and benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid-time-off and in-office massages.
